Ajrakhtextiles have travelled from early Sindh finding its roots in Kutch, Gujarat. It is a sustainable technique of combining resist dyeing with the block prints and other dyeing practices. The word literally translates to \”aaj rakh\” which means to keep in dyeing for an entire day. Processing an Ajrakh takes as much as 13 stages. The longer the wait between each process, finer is the result.
